Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tumpreng inception ceremony was held on 19th November 2015 on the 101st Birth Anniversary of Mananeeya Eknathji (Sadhana Divas), the founder of Vivekananda Kendra was a great day and happy moment for the people of Tumpreng. Morning Satya Narayan puja was performed from 8.30 am to 10.00 am. The banner of V.K.V Tumpreng was inaugurated by Mananeeya Pravinji (All India joint General Secretary of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari and Secretary of V.K.S.P.V) in presence of Sri Khamba Kanta Barman, president, V V Tumpreng and Su. Reboti Devi, Jt. Secy, VKSPV. The public meeting started from 10 am with ‘Deep Prajalan’ by the  Chief Guest Sri Ditolal Hasnu, Vet nary chairman of Karbi Anglong Autonomous council  and offered tributes to Swami Vivekananda and Eknathji Ranade accompanied by Ma. Pravinji, Ma. Kumbhakanta Barman, Sri R. N. Pathak, Reboti Didi, Sri Digesh Nath  from VKSPV.Sri Sarsing Terong, Secretary, VV, Tumpreng welcomed all. Nearly 100 people were felicited  including the chief guest, VKSPV officials, land donors and all who extended supports for establishing and running the VV Tumpreng since its inception in 2012. A song was performed by the students of the school. Sri Kumbhakanta Barman and Sri Bisnu Nirala, an active member of Vidyalaya team shared their experiences of bringing up the school in cooperation with the local people. Ma. Pravinji  enlightened  on Vivekananda Kendra. He sai that, “we are just an instrument in the God’s hand. God does everything through us.Sri Ditolal Hasnu sir blessed all by his valuable words. The vote of thanks was extended by Smt.  Reboti Didi.  The programme ended with Shanti Mantra.
