Tezpur inaugurated its Primary & Administrative block on 24/07/2016. To grace the Inaugural Ceremony Hon. guests- Sri R. P. Sharma, MP, Tezpur Constituency, Sri Brindaban Goswami, MLA, Tezpur Constituency, Sri Dipok Kr. Barthakur, Anchal Pramukh, Uttar-Purbanchal, Man. A. Balakrishnanji, Vice-President, VK, Kanyakumari and Ashok Kumar Singh, DIG, Indo Tibetan Border Police Force were present. The guests were welcome by our students with traditional Gayan-bayan. Colourful cultural programs were presented by the students.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tumpreng inception ceremony was held on 19th November 2015 on the 101st Birth Anniversary of Mananeeya Eknathji (Sadhana Divas), the founder of Vivekananda Kendra was a great day and happy moment for the people of Tumpreng. Morning Satya Narayan puja was performed from 8.30 am to 10.00 am.

 The Principal of the Vidyalaya, Sri Ramesan P.V., who has completed 25 years in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas, been awarded the prestigious National Award for teachers 2014 by the Govt. of India  for his meritorious service throughout his teaching career on 5 th Sept 2015. He was handed over the award by the Hon.

Ganit Prajna Samvardhan, an appreciation and exposure programme for the achievers of GPP-2016 was organised at VKIC,Guwahati from 25 June 2016 (Saturday) to 27 June 2016 ( Monday). The day started with Pratahsmaran & Yoga Abhyas. A total of 40 students from 20 VKVs and 21 escort teachers were present in the 3 days programme.
