Special Achievements of Students

VKV Tinsukia: Kr. Abhilash Roy and Kr. Nayanjyoti Gohain of Class X participated in the Regional Level Science Exhibition 2014 conducted by CBSE in Guwahati from 10th to 12th May 2014. Their model was selected for National Level CBSE Science Exhibition held at Kolkata.

Harsh Birmiwal and Kr. Pulkit Agarwal of Class XII-Commerce scored 100 in Accountancy and Business Studies respectively in AISSCE 2015.

Alumni Meets

All Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools with Passed alumni have been conducting alumni meets for the last few years:

160 Alumni of VKV Golaghat were present in an Alumni Meet held as part of the Silver Jubilee Celebration of the Vidyalaya on 22nd November 2014.

70 Alumni of VKV Dhemaji assembled in a meet conducted at the Vidyalaya on 3rd January 2015.

Silver Jubilee Celebration of VKV Golaghat

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Golaghat celebrated 25 years of service to society throughout the session 2014-15. The concluding programme of the celebration was a 3-day public function in which the parents and the alumni of VKV Golaghat took an active part. In the programme all the former Principals of VKV Golaghat also participated.

Matri Puja in VKV Umrangso and Other Vidyalayas

For the first time, VKV (NEEPCO) Umrangso organised a Matri Puja for the students of the outgoing batch of class X. All the students and their mothers attended the puja. It was an intimate emotional moment for the students and their mothers. The puja proved to be successful one in strengthening the bond of love between them. After the completion of the ceremony the students shared their experinces with the Vidyalaya family. Like every year, other VKVs also conducted Matri Puja.

New Undertaking; Video Conference by Aseem Foundation, Pune

Aseem Foundation, a non-profit organisation of Pune, Maharashtra has been conducting online discussions on various useful topics under Abhilasha Project through Video Conferencing for the last few years for various Vidyalayas of the country. This year VKV Ramnagar, VKV Majuli and VKV Umrangso participated in several sessions conducted by it on 'Career in Joornalism', ' Career in Law & Company Secretary' etc.
